Life Reinvented in Baja, a Memoir

Coming 2023

Leaving behind a safe but artistically unfulfilling life in San Diego, I said
“Yes” to the creative voice within. I retired to Baja California, Mexico, and
reinvented my life in 2006 at sixty-one years old. Taking a leap into the unknown,
I extended myself in Spanish and was warmly embraced by a supportive

community of artists. I was also seduced by a Latin lover, learned to craft
authentic Mata Ortiz pottery in Chihuahua, and participated in an Indigenous
burial ceremony in Baja.  As doors opened, I kept saying “Yes” and discovered that
as people we are all deeply interwoven in the borderlands.

Life Reinvented in Baja will take you on my personal journey of welcoming
change, mending from old emotional wounds, and flourishing artistically in Baja
for fourteen years. As you follow my enchanting story, you may hear your own
voice inviting you to take steps towards your own fulfillment.
